Welcome to Caister Junior School

A very warm welcome.

We hope our website provides you with an insight into what makes us Caister Junior School.

At Caister Junior we are proud to call ourselves an inclusive school, where everybody is welcome, and we will do all we can to ensure your family is welcomed and supported, regardless of background or need.  We want to work collectively with you so that our children can achieve as well as they possibly can and be happy and safe.

We work closely with you as a family to ensure all children reach their potential and have plenty of opportunities to develop and build on their interests along with their ever-growing skills and knowledge. We model ambition and what high quality learning looks like across our curriculum and pride ourselves on celebrating the achievements of all of our wonderful pupils throughout their time with us.

All of the staff are committed to promoting the very highest standards across our rich and varied curriculum and we are always planning and developing ambitious and exciting opportunities for the children at our school.  We use our key drivers to help us plan for our children’s needs at every stage of their education so they can become motivated learners and independent thinkers.  We promote resilience and independence as a key part of the children’s Key Stage 2 journey in preparation for the next stage of their education.

We work hard to ensure everyone at our school shows respect for each other, so that our school builds on the happy, secure foundations that are already in place from the infant school.  Firm in our belief that children come first, we want their journey with us to challenge them within a supportive and nurturing environment so that their independence, confidence, good well-being and life-long skills are also something they leave us with.  We are a nurturing school and put children’s well-being at the heart of everything we do.

As you know, parental involvement is vital as your child progresses through the school, and we value that positive relationship. We provide opportunities for you to visit and talk with us as well as chances for children to showcase their fantastic work each term (Sit & See). We always welcome your feedback and see your child’s education as a two-way, trusting partnership.

We very much look forward to working with you and hope that your children take the next steps in their education with us.
