Thank you for taking the time to view our website, and a warm welcome to Oceans Specialist Resource Base, part of Caister Primary Federation.

Our purpose-built base consists of 2 large classrooms, a number of shared spaces such as a kitchen and a breakout room, and an enclosed outdoor space. The flexibility of the space enables us to adapt and adjust as needed according to the needs of our current cohort. We also have access to the wider school grounds of Caister Infant and Junior schools, which includes an activity gym, climbing equipment and a wildlife area with a pond. We are also able to share the indoor spaces at Caister, such as the activity hall for PE and accessing the ICT suite.

At the SRB we place a high importance on investigation, exploration and self-led learning, as well as using outdoor spaces to enhance our learning. We undertake regular local area trips, for example to the beach, which improve wellbeing and confidence whilst also teaching valuable social skills.

We have worked hard to create an environment that is calm, welcoming and inclusive- a place where all children can feel safe, supported and able to learn.
